Account does not exist on the chain?

I was just trying to do concordium-client account show for an account I used the last time I had time to play around with this, but now the response is that the account doesn’t exist.

Do inactive accounts on the testnet get removed with time or how can this happen?

Yes, the test network was restarted and all accounts and smart contracts were reset. You can see a recording of this event here:

Ah ok, then it makes sense that my old account is unknown.
