Concordium Node has been released for testnet in version 5.0.6.
This is a major release that supports protocol version 5 which implements smart contract upgradability and performance improvements. Please see the release note and concordium-update-proposals for more details.
The protocol update will be effective on testnet on November 22. You can follow the status on our testnet status page.
The node release and protocol update on testnet is in preparation of a similar node release and protocol update on mainnet. New versions of concordium-client and cargo-concordium implementing the upcoming protocol update will be released on November 21.
Node runners must upgrade their nodes before the new protocol takes effect.
