I’m currently researching the concept of oracles in blockchains, specifically in the context of the Concordium Smart Contracts. I understand that oracles can play a role in providing off-chain data or executing off-chain actions and then feeding that information back into Smart Contracts . I’m curious to know if there are any existing standards or ongoing work related to oracles specifically tailored for the Concordium Blockchain.
There are as of now no existing standards for oracles on Concordium. We have some simple examples, but they are there to demonstrate the concept, rather than a production-ready example.
There is some ongoing work on integrating existing oracle providers onto Concordium, but I cannot really share any timeline at the moment.
