I don’t know what the signingkey refers to here?

It is the private key with which you sign transactions.

Note that your contract is 1.5MB, which is much too large. Did you build your contract with cargo-concordium? If not, you should strip debug symbols, for instance using the tool wasm-strip.

Thanks for your help, I used the wasm-strip tool successfully and deployed it to the chain
